Solihull Municipal Club held its inaugural opening ceremony on 14th May 1958, starting its life as a club for the officers and staff of Solihull Council. Volunteer club members erected the original clubhouse from whatever materials could be found that, on completion, resembled a wooden cricket pavilion.

From such inauspicious beginnings, the club has grown and flourished over the years culminating in the demolition of the Members Lounge in 1998 and the building of a new clubhouse having two well-appointed Lounges and a new snooker room.

The continued successful progress of the club since then has enabled both the Members Lounge, and the Function Room to be completely refurbished during 2005, at a cost of approximately £70,000. More...
